Essay 04 (A letter to host family)

Hello, my name is Hiroaki Komori and I am from Kumamoto, Japan. Thank you for accept me. I am looking forward to meeting you. I am in 3rd year in Kumamoto Gakuen University, and my major is English and linguistics. Do you know about Japan? I am going to introduce about Japan a little bit. Japan has very long history, and I studied about it when I was in junior high school and high school. It was really difficult, but it is very interesting. Japan has four kinds of seasons in a year, and I like summer the best because I am not good at cold temperature. On summer, I go to the sea with my friends and enjoy swimming. However, I really recommend Japanese Cherry Blossom on spring. They are really beautiful, and we enjoy seeing them with some foods and drinks, sometimes with beer. I will show you some photos of cherry blossoms when I see you, so please be excited. I want to you come to Japan. And I want you to see cherry blossoms.
Now, I work at a cram school and convenience store which is named “Seven-eleven”. There is a reason why this convenience store is called “seven-eleven”. Now, seven-eleven is opened 24 hours, but it used to be opened from seven to eleven o’clock. That is why it is named “seven-eleven”. I work there on Monday and Saturday midnight. Sometimes I get really tired, but instead of this, I can get money. And cram school is very busy. I teach English and Math to students. I like Math very much, but I do not like English. However, I have to teach English to student for myself. Math is very easy for me. I work in cram school for a year. I want to keep working this part-time job in the future when I am in the university.

I would like to go on a trip to France because I am interested in French very much. I have studied French for three years, and I really like it. However, I think that French is very difficult because of its grammar. Grammar is different from Japanese, and sometimes it makes me confused. I am doing my best to take credit of French, and hopefully I would like to speak and read French fluently. If you know about French, could you teach me while I stay at your home?
In the future, I would like to be a high school teacher, and I want to teach English to many students. I am studying how to teach English in my university. It is not easy for me, but I am doing my best to make my goal. I am hoping to work at school in Fukuoka because I like Fukuoka very much. Fukuoka is placed next to Kumamoto which is my hometown. I respect my high school teacher because he taught me a lot of things clearly. I want to be like him in the future, so I have to study English very hard. And I am studying writing class in university now. It is very difficult for me, but I will do my best.
I am going to study English very hard in America. And I want to learn about foreign country’s culture. I am interested in foreign country’s culture. I want you to take me to some places. I want to go various places in America. And I want to eat American foods. Please remember me to all your family. I am really excited to see you all and hope I can have great time with you.
